About Lisa ..


Born and raised in Sharon Hill, Darby Township, Pa, Lisa began singing in
local church choirs and family gatherings at the age of five. In 1989 she
began performing with the group Chapter One in banquet halls such as The
Twelve Caesars and the Riviera Ballroom. This began Lisa's wedding circuit
experience.

In 1997 Lisa won first prize while competing in Temple's jazz station's talent
contest sponsored by B&V outreach. In 1999 she began forming bands that
performed for a variety of audiences. These ensembles eventually became
known as Lisa Chavous and Friends.

Performance venues included the Drexelbrook ballroom, Anthony's
Restaurant in Drexel Hill, Nanina's Restaurant in Ridley Township,
Springfield Country Club, The Polish American Club of Clifton Heights,
Sam's Saloon in Glenolden, Gary's Den in Clifton Heights, Danny's
Tavern in Lansdowne, The Crab Tavern in Darby , Media's Iron Hill
Brewery, Philadelphia's Olde City Seafood Restaurant, The River's Edge
Cafe in Manayunk, The Goat Hollow Tavern in Mt. Airie, and The Sheraton
Hotel of West Chester.

Lisa Chavous has also donated her talents at a variety of functions that
benefit childrens' organizations supporting research for multiple sclerosis,
and the anti-aids foundation. Lisa's most recent concert performance was for
the Palmyra, NJ County Festival, and she can be frequently found at
Stephen's Prime in Media PA. Lisa is currently interested in expanding her
performance area to include the Pocono Mountain resorts, Atlantic City
casinos, and any other profitable locations.

Flexibility , professionalism, positive audience interaction and response, and
the ability to project her sincere love and devotion to her music are just a few
of the outstanding qualities that will continue to propel her growing music
career.
